Any symptoms of prostate cancer should be taken seriously as it could be a sign that the tumor has grown enough to affect the urethra.
According to Russia Today, new research from a leading cancer treatment provider, GenesisCare, suggests that large numbers of men have false beliefs about prostate cancer that may sabotage their chances of surviving the disease.
And a survey by a health care worker found that a third of the men said they would delay their visit to the doctor if they felt their symptoms weren’t “severe” enough to “call for a doctor.”
These beliefs can cause men to miss out on an early diagnosis. This is because prostate cancer often has no symptoms.
Any symptoms that occur can be a sign of disease progression, so they should be taken seriously.
The disease shows signs only when it is large enough to put pressure on the urethra. Even if you are only concerned about the disease but have no symptoms, you can still see your GP.

The type of symptoms you may experience includes the following, according to the Mayo Clinic:
blood in the urine
Blood in the seed.
– Bone pain.
Lose weight without trying.
– Erectile dysfunction in men.
The British National Health Service also explains the following symptoms:
The need to urinate frequently.
– The need to run to the bathroom.
Difficulty starting urination.
Effort when urinating.
Poor flow.
Feeling that the bladder has not completely emptied.
Conventional forms of radiation therapy, which often require several weeks of treatment, can lead to side effects such as erectile dysfunction.
But with advances in technology, such as MRI-guided radiation therapy, the risks of these side effects can be greatly reduced.
