Between BGN 30 and BGN 120, applicants for university admission must count. That’s the fees for the first exam, writes “Telegraph”.
The most common amount at the entrance to the higher schools is BGN 60. The fee for examining the documents and ranking with grades from the matriculation exams is similar. 48 higher education institutions in Bulgaria will accept candidate students with grades from the state matriculation exams. In most cases, the future graduates will be able to choose whether the grade from the entrance exam or the matriculation exam will be included in their score.
BGN 30 is the fee for the first exam and the same amount for each subsequent one at our largest university – Sofia University. For ranking with recognition of a grade from a state matriculation exam, the amount is the same – BGN 30.
Candidate students at Plovdiv University will have to withdraw BGN 40 for the first exam and BGN 25 for each subsequent one. Recognition of a matriculation grade is also BGN 40. This is how much the candidates for Burgas University should prepare, regardless of whether they will appear for an exam or submit their grades from the matriculation exam.
Those aiming for humanities majors at the University of Veliko Tarnovo “St. St. Cyril and Methodius” will pay BGN 60 for each individual exam, as well as for applying with matriculation grades. This applies to high school graduates, and for candidates for a “master’s” after higher education, the fee for participation in the candidate admission and ranking is BGN 70, and BGN 40 for taking the exam.
At Southwestern University, the entrance fee for the exam and documents is fixed at BGN 30. It is the same at Bishop Kostantin Preslavski University of Shumen. In Ruse “Angel Kanchev”, the first exam costs BGN 60, and each subsequent one – BGN 40. It costs a solid BGN 60 to apply to the UNSS for the first exam and BGN 30 for each subsequent one.
And in technical universities, the entrance fee is on average BGN 50. It is the same in TU-Sofia, in TU-Varna it is BGN 30, and the ranking with matriculation grades is BGN 5 less. At TU-Gabrovo, 50 BGN is paid for the first exam, and 30 BGN for the subsequent ones. 50 BGN is given for the first exam at the University of Mining and Geology and at the Forestry University.
Special
In some of the higher schools, there are also special exams that are paid for separately. At UASG, for example, the mathematics exam costs BGN 35, for each of the three parts of the drawing exam, BGN 35 is paid and for the English language exam, BGN 25. The fee for participation in the candidate student campaign and ranking, including the grade from the state matriculation exam, is BGN 40.
At the National Academy of Music, candidate exams are BGN 50 for the first and BGN 25 for each subsequent one. Students studying acting and directing must prepare BGN 80 for the first exam, BGN 65 for the second exam, and BGN 50 for the third. At the Academy of Arts, the fee is BGN 38 for both the first exam and the subsequent ones. The application fee for the National Sports Academy is BGN 65.
Medicine
Apart from the tuition fees for medicine being one of the highest, the application fees are also more expensive compared to other specialties. BGN 80 is the fee for the first exam at the Medical University in Sofia, and BGN 40 for subsequent ones. The fee for receiving and processing documents when applying without taking an exam is BGN 50.
For the exam in biology and chemistry at the Plovdiv Medical University, you pay BGN 120. Candidate exams in ethics, sculpting, social medicine and health management are BGN 60. At the Varna Medical University, the fee for taking the first exam is BGN 70 and BGN 50 for each following.
For participation in the candidate campaign and ranking according to documents, a fee of BGN 50 is paid. For admission after completed secondary education – masters at MU-Pleven, BGN 120 is due, for bachelors, the amount is BGN 70 for the first application and BGN 50 for each subsequent one. BGN 50 is also the participation in ranking with grades from the matriculation exams.
