Through a statement and without delving into some of the questions, the Prosecutor’s Office responded to the complaints of administrative chaos experienced by the institution in Huila. He said that the workload has decreased and that he has promoted promotions.
The Huila sectional Prosecutor’s Office issued a statement highlighting the 4.40% decrease in workload and efficient management of human talent. However, union complaints point to a darker outlook, with inactive offices, postponements of hearings and an overload that threatens the effectiveness of the justice system in the region.
The key points of the statement
The Huila Prosecutor’s Office reported having made a 4.40% reduction in workload, equivalent to 3,470 processes. In addition, there is a 66.6% increase in appointments and an effective 71.4% in promotions in the last year.
As read in the statement, “From 2021 to date, 24 appointments have been made in the Huila Section, of which 16 correspond to the period between 2022 – 2023, which is equivalent to effective management in matters of human talent of 66.6% in the last year.”
Office without property tax
Contrary to union statements, the Prosecutor’s Office argues that an office without a prosecutor in its possession responds to a union permit of more than 60 days, in accordance with article 39 of the Constitution.
The Serfigen union points out that the lack of assistant prosecutors and the increased workload have led to critical situations. It also reveals an alleged misappropriation of salaries intended for prosecutors, alleging that the head of the 31st Sectional Prosecutor’s Office receives emoluments not corresponding to her administrative functions.
“The Sectional Directorate of Prosecutors has implemented the necessary strategies to resolve administrative situations aimed at optimizing the provision of the public justice service, managing to position Huila in a coordinated work with the judges of the Republic, as the department that at the national level “It is in second place in terms of productivity in the area of criminal law, according to the figures managed by the Sectional Council of the Judiciary”he concludes.
