The prosecutor’s office published new conversations of the detained Dilian Georgiev with Tsvetan Vasilev and Kalin Edrev
The criminal group with several participants, including Krasimir Kamenov-Kuro, is being investigated for 5 murders, the prosecutor’s office reports. At a press conference on March 16, recordings of conversations were released. A magistrate has since received a new threat. Then information was brought out about a gang involved in money laundering and tax crimes. The accused are currently two. Dilian Georgiev was arrested, and Tony Ivanov managed to escape to Spain, but he was recently detained at the request of the prosecutor’s office in our country.
Then it became clear that those under investigation and others were holding meetings and talks for a campaign in the USA and Europe to discredit the institutions in our country and to remove senior magistrates and police officers.
Sheets of printed and handwritten text were displayed, one of which contained the following:
“VTB” – the Russian foreign trade bank, included in the sanctions lists of the EU and the USA;
“Tseco from Belgrade” – Tsvetan Vasilev, who is hiding in Serbia, is accused of leading an organized criminal group and embezzling BGN 2.7 billion from KTB, which led to the bank’s bankruptcy.
A sheet entitled “Pests for Dismissal” was also seized, containing a list of the names and current positions of judges, prosecutors and investigators from the closed structures of specialized justice.
The contents of two flash drives containing audio files of conversations between Dilian Georgiev, who is detained, wanted Krasimir Kamenov-Kuro, accused of inciting the murder of former policeman Ljubomir Ivanov, Ovidiu Semenescu, also wanted internationally under investigation into involvement in an extortion gang and “Mitko BIRD”, possibly the journalist Dimitar Stoyanov. In the pre-trial proceedings, Tony Ivanov, who is abroad, but was arrested, was brought in as an accused.

The first is that in the period from 2020 to March 24, 2023, an organized criminal group was operating on the territory of Bulgaria for trading in influence – removal of magistrates and senior police officers who hinder the criminal group. DANS is working on the case. The agents are looking for the bank accounts of all those screened abroad.
The “Internal Security” Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the “Inspectorate” Directorate have been assigned to carry out a check on what actions have been taken against senior police officers, in view of the available information about attempts to remove them from the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as well as whether there is are data on payments made to employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, complicit in criminal activity. This is on the occasion of the information from the conversations that money is being collected to remove from his post Mikhail Naumov, who is the head of the department of serious crimes in the national police.
In the course of the investigation, a new threat was made to a magistrate working on the case. The Main Directorate “Security” at the Ministry of Justice has been notified. The General Directorate of the National Police has been assigned the task of identifying the persons who made the threat.
Another pre-trial proceeding has been set aside for an organized crime group to commit murder. The separation is in connection with the collected evidence of the activities of the criminal group, and joint actions are being taken with the State Police-Ministry of Internal Affairs in order to establish the complicity of participants in the group in five murders and one attempted murder, committed over a long period of time.
The third investigation is about a tax crime committed between 2017 and October 31, 2022, in which the identification and payment of large tax liabilities was avoided. The subject of the investigation is the activity of commercial companies operating the “Slatina” stock exchange in Sofia, which are owned by Kuro. In the course of the investigation at the end of 2022, searches and seizures were carried out, during which numerous documents were seized.
In the criminal proceedings, the prosecutor’s office assigned separate actions to the KPCONPI and the National Narcotics Agency.
A technical examination of the phone used by the accused Diliyan Georgiev was appointed and prepared. It contains communication through mobile applications of the accused with the defendant Tsvetan Vassilev, as well as with Dimitar Stoyanov, Kalin Edrev and others.
The total amount of information contained is 24 GB, and the same is in the process of analysis. The Sofia City Prosecutor’s Office provides part of the established communication between the named persons, corresponding to the collected evidence of collusion by the organized criminal group, with the aim of discrediting at home and abroad and attempts to eliminate senior magistrates and police officers:
In the influence peddling pre-trial there are also many audio files of conversations of those involved. Three of them are Kuro’s phone conversations with a witness in the case, who was his most trusted person in our country. The records talk about various facts related to criminal activity and mention the following names, abbreviations and others: “Tsetso Vasilev”, “Ovidiu”, “Boboka”, “Mitko Bird”, “Dilian”, “Boyan”.
