Prosecutor’s Office raided TC Television and a company as part of the investigation of a case of alleged embezzlement | Policy | News

On Friday, the State Attorney General’s Office carried out a raid on CT Television to seek contracts related to advertising services between 2020 and 2021 for a case of alleged embezzlement.

The diligence was in charge of the National Unit for Transparency and Fight against Corruption. The premises of the company that had received the contract were also raided.

After what happened, the channel issued a statement reproaching the Prosecutor’s Office, saying that a request for information would have been enough to obtain what it wanted.

According to the media, what the Prosecutor’s Office was looking for is a contract entered into with the Puzzle company for the delivery of audiovisual products or national production.

“Even though the order should have been issued by the president of the Provincial Court of Justice, since the legal representatives of the seized companies have court jurisdiction, the manager of CT Television (Rafael Cuesta) made it easier for the Prosecutor’s Office to carry out the diligence… We deeply regret the deployment, the way it was carried out and the information that was erroneously disseminated on social networks and that damages our reputation.”

Cuesta also posted on Twitter that the doors of CT Television they are always “open to justice”. “A raid with so much deployment was not necessary, a request was enough, they have our support.” (I)
