“There is a deviation that we are investigating from a Secretary of State for 3 billion pesos, and with this type of investigation we have already determined who is the head of the criminal group, we have already seen how the flows reach them, each time they charge a commission, We have already seen how he receives it, we have already seen that the contributions are not paid and who is the front man who pays it, we are trying to integrate it and I hope to have people in jail for that matter in the next few months, “said Carlos Romero Aranda, head of the Federal Prosecutor’s Office.
The official explained that this ongoing investigation has been possible thanks to the reforms implemented in Mexico to prosecute criminals, such as invoices.
He said that legal changes allow them to have, eavesdrop, hang on the phones of criminals to see how they operate, approach people linked to them with the criteria of opportunity to reveal who pays them or have infiltrated criminal groups.
He explained the above when participating in a Forum organized by the Faculty of Accounting of the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla.
