I did this weekend in a way I never thought I would in my life – I was sitting behind the wheel of a car while drunk in a friends’ homestead.

No mitigating or justifying circumstances matter, as I myself have always openly condemned those who behave in a similar way and I was convinced that this would not happen to me. Klydau.

I realize that while drunk driving, I not only risked hurting people, but also ruined the image of a good father and husband for my family members.

I will take full responsibility for my written and unwritten laws. I am very sorry for the people who respected me and believed in me. I disappointed you, “M. Stonkus announced on Facebook.

After this event, the actor kept his distance: he did not communicate with the media, disappeared from social networks, and did not appear on the webcast he hosted. M. Stonkus himself assures that he needed time to return to his normal life. It seems that the time has come.

A little over a couple of weeks after the incident, Stonkus spoke about it for the first time in his webcasts. ”The same again“In the channel he creates together with Mantas Katler and Rolandas Mackevičius. An episode appeared on Youtube late at night, devoting most of the time to discussing the unpleasant situation.

“I had a hard week, but I’m to blame,” the famous comedian did not hide.

“It was bad. <...> “I personally beat myself a lot, because, as you know, when I have a crisis, it is difficult for me to survive it,” he added to his website colleagues and viewers.

The actor, who has broken away from the public, says he has taken the time to reflect on what happened in this situation and why to analyze himself. During a difficult moment, M. Stonkus did not spare the beautiful words of his heart’s friend, the actress Gelmina Glemžaitė, who was around and helped to cope with the fallen troubles and emotions.

“It simply came to our notice then. “It may be a little early to talk about them, but you will have to change your life radically,” the comedian continued.

On the air, the actor hinted that the aforementioned changes are related to giving up alcohol and an even more active lifestyle.

Mr Stonkus admitted that he had recently limited the amount of information available to him, so he was not too interested in articles appearing in the media, in colleagues’ recordings that did not miss the opportunity to make fun of him, or in mocking comments from internet users. Still, some personal messages reached him.

“A lot of people wrote, a lot,” he said.

“I read. Of course, those messages are not pleasant, but the deed is not something to be patted for, ”the famous man added.

That M. Stonkus had indeed taken a break from his normal life is also shown by the fact that the actor saw his friend M. Katler for the first time after the event only when they started filming the new episode of the webcast.

“You know why I couldn’t come to podcast continue to talk? Because it doesn’t matter to me. It’s bad for me that happened. I know the reasons why this happened. It’s even worse when you know the reasons for it. Even worse. That already remains a fact, but why was that? There are no events that happen to yourself anyway. Here is the circuit, the sequence. Thank God it happened because I closed one big chapter in my life. A bad chapter that has been over since about 2019. Balaganas. Here is a footnote to that. Yes, it’s bad, of course, but the good thing is that you’re standing on the ground, you no longer have to worry about whether you’ve already resisted or not. There was a shock. After a long fall, I hit the ground. I looked around to have a wonderful woman next to me, thank God I didn’t kill anything, thank God my children are healthy and alive because I told them what happened, ”the actor shared his feelings.

In addition to the fine, M. Stonkus also faced other painful consequences of the event: this act was condemned by the representatives of the educational project he was developing, and the cooperation was suspended by a large brand. The actor assures that he has probably punished himself the most in this place, but is gradually trying to forgive himself and move on.

“I realize it was a very bad thing, but that’s it, I can’t condemn myself anymore,” he opened.

M. Stonkus, who returned to the air after the break, was greeted by the Internet users – most commentators were happy that the actor would delight the audience again.
