Minister Park’s order came out amid growing suspicions of speculation in the 3rd new towns, including Gwangmyeong and Siheung districts, by employees of the Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH). Earlier on the 3rd, President Moon Jae-in instructed to conduct a thorough land transaction survey on the workers and families of new housing development-related departments of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and related public institutions such as LH, targeting the entire third new city.
