Prosecutor Fossati referred to the song “Everything is a lie” by La Beriso on Twitter

Portal of Montevideo

The prosecutor Gabriela Fossati, investigator in charge of the case involving the former presidential custodian Alejandro Astesiano, spoke again this Sunday on the social network Twitter, but this time he did so by quoting part of a letter from the Argentine rock group La Beriso.

Fossati has chosen for his publication to share the beginning of the song Everything is a lie.

“A star has fallen and I have a wish

It is to transform all that is bad into something good

And let the hypocrisy end once and for all

And so many people telling so many lies

Lots of inventions, lots of technology

Why don’t they invent the vaccine against cancer and AIDS?” begins the theme of the Argentine band formed in 1998 shared by the public prosecutor in the act.

Fossati shared the image of that excerpt from the song and wrote along with an applause emoji: “What a message from ‘La Beriso’.”

Full text of “Everything is a lie”

A star has fallen and I have one wish

It is to transform all that is bad into something goodor

And let the hypocrisy end once and for all

And so many people telling so many lies

Lots of inventions, lots of technology

Why don’t they invent the cancer and AIDS vaccine?

And that no child dies on this earth anymore

That joy is not only Brazilian

It’s all a lie, it’s corrupt information

They want to live up to our own lives

And those goddamn antidepressant pills

They just bring you calmer to another life

let sadness turn into joy

And those tears in smiles

May he who rules not rule our lives

And for his people, for his people he gives his life

And as a people we will lead by example

Because we deserve more than this

Everything is a lie

Everything is a lie

Everything is a lie

Everything is a lie, aha, aha

Everything is a lie

Everything is a lie

Everything is a lie

Everything is a lie, aha, aha

A star has fallen and I have one wish”
