Her brother-in-law Florian R. was long considered suspicious. He was alone with her in the house on the morning of her disappearance and later got involved in contradictions. However, the investigators suspected that the brother-in-law might have buried Rebcca’s body on the A12 in a forest near Kummersdorf. According to prosecutor Glage, there is another reason for this: Florian was born in Frankfurt (Oder) and has many relatives in the area. In addition, he was no longer recorded by the KESY stations after this motorway exit.
