The US Attorney General announced on Friday that he was appointing a special prosecutor to investigate President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter, who is accused of tax evasion by the courts and questionable foreign affairs by the Republican opposition.

The appointment of David Weiss is in the “general interest”, added Merrick Garland during a brief speech.
