The murder occurred on January 17 in the canton of San Juan Higinio, Jayaque, La Libertad. Sandoval Sosa is going to bring his partner to his home in Santa Ana to assassinate her there, according to the Santa Tecla prosecutor’s office.
Tax investigations indicate that Sandoval Sosa began a romantic relationship with the victim in 2020. It was then that he decided to buy three life insurance policies in the name of his girlfriend for a total amount of $ 180,000, that is, each of them had a value of $ 60,000.
Furthermore, he was the sole beneficiary of life insurance. What caught the attention of the tax authorities is that Sandoval Sosa collected the first policy last April, three months after the murder.
After collecting sufficient evidence, the Attorney General’s Office ordered the capture of Sandoval Sosa, who is stationed in the second infantry brigade in Santa Ana. This Sunday he was captured by the Anti-gang unit of the Police.
