Phung was determined to have beaten and abused behavior that led to the death of NMN (common name Bo, born in May 2023). Bo is the stepchild of Trinh Hoang Bao L (15 years old), who has been living as husband and wife with Phung for the past few months.
As for L. on August 18, he is still being detained at the police station of Long Dien district to consolidate the case file for handling before transferring to the provincial-level Investment Police Agency.
The CSDT is also considering handling Phung and BTT (24 years old, living in Dat Do district, currently serving a prison sentence, from October 2022 to present) for having intercourse and having sex with L in the past. L was 14-15 years old.

Through initial investigation, L had a relationship with T from the age of 14, leading to pregnancy. From the beginning of May 2023 until now, L moved in with Phung and the two had sex many times.

Phung continued to squeeze Bo’s face with his hand, shaking it back and forth. Seeing that he fainted, L and Phung took him to Ba Ria hospital for emergency treatment. However, according to the hospital, Bo had died before.
