On January 5, Buon Ho town police, Dak Lak province said that just prosecute case, prosecution Defendant Le Van Hien (23 years old, residing in Doan Ket ward, Buon Ho town) for investigation of murder.
Hien was prosecuted for unjustly stopping and beating a pedestrian, causing the victim to suffer a traumatic brain injury.
According to initial information, around 3:00 p.m. on December 26, 2023, Mr. Nguyen Le Son (56 years old, living in Thong Nhat ward, Buon Ho town) walked alone on Highway 14.
When Mr. Son went to Thong Nhat ward, Hien stopped him and attacked him. According to a passerby’s dashcam recording, Hien used a helmet to attack Mr. Son’s head, causing the victim to be injured and bleed profusely.
Passersby already dissuadetook Mr. Son to Buon Ho Town Medical Center emergency. After that, the victim was taken to Central Highlands General Hospital (Buon Ma Thuot City) for further treatment.
According to a doctor at the Central Highlands General Hospital, Mr. Son was admitted to the hospital in a coma and was diagnosed traumatic brain injury severe, brain contusion, right forehead hemorrhage, skull fracture. After treatment, patient Son has recovered well.
At the police station, Hien claimed that he beat Mr. Son because he was drunk. There is no conflict between Hien and Mr. Son.
