ProRail: trains are running anyway, traffic controller reports

A spokesperson for ProRail says that the traffic controller in question only listened to his voicemail later. “He let us know that he can work. So then we looked at whether it is feasible to get the trains running again for carriers, drivers, etcetera. Connexxion and the NS will do their utmost.”

The NS also says it is “doing its utmost to run the trains tomorrow”. “You have to imagine that you are making adjustments when we are not driving: equipment and personnel. And we have to reverse those adjustments because ProRail decides to drive anyway. So we will do our utmost,” said the spokesperson.

Earlier today, the rail manager reported that trains between Arnhem and Utrecht would not drivebecause there are not enough traffic controllers. Also Today for the same reason, no trains ran on the same routes during the morning rush hour.
