Propstore Hosts Mega Film Memorabilia Auction: Rare Collectibles and Costumes Up for Grabs

The dream of all collectors and film lovers will come true next weekend. From November 9th to 12th, Propstore, one of the leading suppliers of original film paraphernalia and costumes, is hosting one gigantic live auction of almost 1,800 memorabilia in Rickmansworth, UK. If you can’t be there on site, there will be a live stream of the event. Bidding can be done in person, online or over the phone.

Among other things, the bidders have the opportunity to auction Captain America’s (Chris Evans) shield from the film “Captain America: The First Avenger” (2011). The price is estimated in advance at the equivalent of 57,000 to 115,000 euros. The stunt costume of the pirate Captain Jack Sparrow from the film “Pirates of the Caribbean – On Stranger Tides” (2011) is in the same price range – at least according to the auction house’s estimates.

Things get really expensive with Star Wars

The fund also contains objects that will change hands for significantly more money. Indiana Jones’ whip from 1984’s “Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom” is estimated at 115,000 to 230,000 euros, as is Leonardo DiCaprio’s Jack Dawson outfit from “Titanic” (1997).

Things will probably be really expensive in the Star Wars faction. The black helmet of a TIE fighter pilot from the Imperial Fleet from “Star Wars” (1977) is being traded for between 350,000 and 700,000 euros. Anyone who has always wanted to put the head of the “Star Wars” droid C-3PO in their living room will probably have to shell out up to 1.15 million euros.

A “The Shining” manuscript with handwritten notes from cult director Stanley Kubrick is available for purchase. A total of up to 13.85 million euros is expected.

This is not the first time Propstore has held such an auction. Fans and collectors were able to auction off items from their favorite films in 2016, 2017, 2019 and 2022.
