Proposed Ticket Price Increase and Development Plans for Giza Zoo Revealed by Director of Zoos

Major General Muhammad Ragai, Director of Zoos at the Ministry of Agriculture, revealed the proposed price of a ticket to enter the Giza Zoo, after development work that will last for a year and a half.

“Rajaei” said, in exclusive statements to “Masrawy”: The price of the park ticket will not continue as it is at a value of 5 pounds, but will range from 25 to 30 pounds, so that the park can continue to keep pace with development and preserve it, as its annual expenses increased from 12 to 17 million pounds.

The director of the zoos explained that during the development period, the animals will remain in their places, and all means of food and medical care will be provided to them, and new places will be built for them.

For his part, Maha Saber, Director of the Office of the Director of Zoos, said that the zoo, after its development, will be “global”, by keeping up with the required international standards.
