Proposal Submitted to Terminate Concession of “Lukoil” at “Rosenets” Port

The parliamentary group of PP-DB submits to the National Assembly a proposal to terminate the concession of “Lukoil” at “Rosenets” port, Kiril Petkov and Atanas Atanasov announced on the sidelines of the parliament.

According to them, this is a step that will return the state’s control over key infrastructure and is a step towards our acceptance into the Schengen area.

Kiril Petkov commented that he expects GERB-SDS to also support their proposal.

A little later, however, the leader of Boyko Borisov commented that the proposal was also GERB’s and criticized Kiril Petkov and Atanas Atanasov for hastening its announcement.

“Yesterday we had a rather long meeting with Petkov, Vasilev, Ivanov, Atanasov, Maria Gabriel, colleagues from the DPS Tsonev and Peevski regarding these several decisions. If they were in such a hurry, I want to say that in our proposals to the colleagues from the DB, DPS and we also included the transport pipes and the figure of a special governor, that is, the state taking over all control. There was fierce opposition from the PP regarding the pipes and the special governor.” Borisov said.

Boyko Borisov also said that the management program has been completed and an agreement will be signed next week.

“I think colleagues need to work a little on the non-coalition culture,” he commented.

“Lukoil” will pay fees

Kiril Petkov explained that “Lukoil” will continue to operate at the port by paying fees.

The Ministry of Transport has the full capabilities to operate this port, Kiril Petkov added.

Moscow will not win in Bulgaria

“We are submitting a proposal to take back the control of the state in the port of Rosenets”. Our proposal will terminate the Rosenets port concession, which was extended by the cabinet by 24 years without reasons,” said the co-chairman of “We continue the change” Kiril Petkov in the National Assembly.

“Our goal is our entry into Schengen and this is clearly a step in that direction”Petkov added.

“We have been saying for years that the state should regain control over this port. At a time when Russia has declared Bulgaria an enemy country because of the war it is waging in Ukraine – we are taking action to limit the opportunities for Moscow to use Bulgarian infrastructure for financial purposes “, said General Atanas Atanasov from “Democratic Bulgaria”.
