The goal is an electricity price of less than 20 cents per kilowatt hour, including all taxes and duties. The total tax burden on companies must be capped at 25 percent. In the paper, the Union faction also proposes targeted depreciation for investments in climate protection, automation and digitization.
At its closed meeting in Meseberg, the Federal Cabinet had decided, among other things, to give companies tax relief of around seven billion euros a year.
