The object of this book relates to the study of Chinese films reconstructing the history of the Second Sino-Japanese War under Mao from 1949 to 1966. Understanding this problematic begins with the analysis of the political interference in cinema and the reaction of professionals. The study then deals more specifically with the creations as such, the messages of propaganda films on war and the methods used by the cinema.
