Juventus achieve victory in difficult conditions when facing Fiorentina. Massimiliano Allegri I think the Bianconeri are playing very mature.
Juventus beat Fiorentina 1-0 at the Artemio Franchi in the semifinal first leg Italian Cup, Thursday (3/3/2022) early morning WIB. This victory did not come easily to the Old Lady’s stronghold.
The Bianconeri are more stressed by Fiorentina. La Viola made 22 shots with six on target.
Meanwhile, Juventus only made one on target of six trials. The visitors did well to hold off Fiorentina’s attack before being able to steal the winning goal in the last minute of the match through an own Lorenzo Venutti.
Juventus Coach, Massimiliano Allegri, admits that Fiorentina is so troublesome for his team in this match. He praised the host’s attacking performance.
Allegri assesses the hard-won victory at home to Fiorentina shows Juventus appear very mature. Juventus have a very good mentality to be able to win, even in difficult conditions.
Juventus appear limp against Fiorentina. They cannot play nine pillars namely Paulo Dybala, Federico Bernardeschi and Daniele Rugani, Alex Sandro, Giorgio Chiellini, Weston McKennie, Federico Chiesa and Kaio Jorge.
“We have to congratulate Fiorentina on their good performance. We struggled with two counter-attacks in the first half and, once in the second half. Luckily we didn’t concede because they made a mistake,” Allegri told Mediaset quoted by Football Italia.
“The team then defended well, we took very few risks. We had some favorable situations where we should have done the final ball better. Cuadrado prefers to score goals than pass and we could have scored there.”
“Winning in Florence was not easy, the team showed maturity, because it was a difficult game, we lost a lot of players and Marley Ake worked hard. Danilo showed that he is really an extraordinary player at the highest level,” he explained.
This result makes Juventus only need a draw in the second leg later to advance to the final. The second leg will take place on April 21 at the Allianz Stadium.
