Indonesian national team many wasted golden opportunities to do Shin Ta Yong (STY) wrath against AFF Cup 2022. Here is proof that Indonesia was lazy at the front, which ultimately infuriated STY.
Shin Tae Yong is disappointed with the Indonesian national team players as they often waste the opportunities they get at the 2022 AFF Cup.
Indonesian players have not only squandered opportunities in one or two matches, but in every match in Group A of the 2022 AFF Cup, namely against Cambodia, Brunei, Thailand and the Philippines.
The following is evidence that Indonesia is slow on the front lines, which angered STY at the 2022 AFF Cup:
1. Indonesia vs Cambodia
In the first match of Group A of the AFF Cup 2022 on December 20, Indonesia managed to look dominant against Cambodia.
In this match Indonesia won with the score 2-1 over Cambodia. However, this score doesn’t really match the many opportunities Indonesia had in that match.
In that match, Indonesia successfully controlled the game with 54% possession and had 12 chances to score.
Indonesia also recorded 18 shots attempted, but only eight shots were aimed at Cambodia’s goal.
One of Indonesia’s best chances, which failed to score against Cambodia, finally went viral on social media when Egy Maulana Vikri slipped while tackling the Cambodian goalkeeper.
2. Indonesia vs. Brunei
When they face Brunei Darussalam in their second match of Group A, Indonesia also actually have a chance to win more than 7-0.
In this match, Indonesia appeared very dominant holding possession of 84%.
Shin Tae Yong’s team was also recorded with 19 chances that could be converted into goals, but only seven of them managed to break through the Brunei goal.
In addition, Indonesia was also able to release 31 shot attempts, but only 19 were successful.
One of the best missed chances by the Indonesian players against Brunei was when Hansamu Yama failed to score from one meter in front of Brunei’s empty goal.
