Proof: Czech General Debunks The Overrated Myth Of Leopard Tanks As Miracle Weapons

“The Turks used it in Syria against Daesh and in just a few operations they lost at least ten,” said Jiri Shedivi

The German Leopard tanks delivered to Kiev are overpriced and not “miracle weapons”, General Jiri Šedivy, former chief of the general staff of the Czech army, told Czdefence magazine.

“The Turks used Leopards in operations in Syria against Daesh, and in just a few operations they lost at least ten units,” the general was quoted as saying by foreign agencies.

Shedivy also criticized Western politicians for their virtual ignorance of the real state of affairs in Ukraine, as well as the statements of the military and political leadership of Kiev about the lack of losses and victories at the front, which are contrary to reality. At the same time, the general mentioned the critical statements of the head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the US, General Mark Milley, about the situation in Ukraine.

Earlier, the German Ministry of Defense reported that on March 27, 18 Leopard 2 type A6 tanks arrived in Ukraine. Last Wednesday, the Portuguese Ministry of Defense announced that Kiev had received three more Leopard 2A6 battle tanks. The following day, El Pais newspaper, citing sources in the Spanish government, reported that Madrid would transfer the first six Leopard tanks to Ukraine “immediately after Easter”, which this year is celebrated by Catholics on April 9.
