On Thursday, August 31, 2023, the government handed over technical and didactic materials to the National University of Agriculture (UNA) and to Aspirants to the Teaching Profession (AME) under the leadership of the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries; the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research; the Minister of Secondary and Technical Education and Vocational Training as well as the Director of the Technical Education Development Agency. This delivery of agricultural and computer equipment and materials is part of the effectiveness of this vision, in particular in the operationalization of the 30 agricultural technical high schools under construction and rehabilitation.
At a total cost of one hundred and forty-five million two hundred and thirty-six thousand (145,236,000) FCFA, subsidized by the State up to 50%, the agricultural materials and equipment given to the National University of Agriculture, consist of: 10 tractors of different capacities; 13 trailers; 3 plows; 3 5-tine cultivators; 26 sprayers; 3 tractor kits of different powers; 5 tillers and accessories; 1 KMR 2 clearing mower.
As for the portable computers given to the 365 AMEs in training, their cost amounts to three hundred and twenty-nine million forty thousand six hundred and forty (329,040,640) FCFA. These are HP brand laptops, Intel processor, Core i5, 12 generation, 8 Giga Ram memory, 556 Giga SSD hard drive, 15.5″ full HD Led screen all equipped with Kaspersky antivirus and accessories.
