In Belgium, the pill, including the minipill, is only available with a prescription. For a minipill like “Opill”, Anne Verougstrate would like to see it differently: “Medicines must be prescribed if there are health risks. If there are no health risks, they must be released. The more contraceptives that are available over the counter, the fewer risks there are of unwanted pregnancies. So if there’s no risk involved, it’s a very good idea.”
