It is an activity that was organized as part of the efforts carried out by this administration headed by Governor Víctor Castro Cosío to motivate the South Californians to express to their families their willingness to join this cause after death, convinced that with this they can give hope to chronic patients who are in acute phases, said the secretary of the branch, Zazil Flores Aldape at the end of the tour.

Accompanied by the director of the State System for the Comprehensive Development of the Family, SEDIF, Alberto Ceseña Romero, Flores Aldape said that during the Covid-19 pandemic, both the promotion of the culture of organ donation and transplant surgeries , were partially stopped in Mexico and throughout the world, but today they are being reactivated with the purpose of improving the life expectancy and quality of people whose organs or tissues lost their function due to a degenerative condition.

In the case of Baja California Sur, the State Center for Transplants and Chronic Kidney Disease was reestablished, which coordinates actions to promote this culture, but above all, with the support of the National Transplant Center (CENATRA) and the institutions of the sector. , develops processes to strengthen the training of health professionals, with the perspective that in the medium term the number of organ transplant surgeries in hospitals that have a federal license will increase.
In this forum where voluntary donor cards were distributed among the attendees, Flores Aldape pointed out that among the efforts undertaken to reinforce these surgical procedures in BCS, the reestablishment of hospital donation and transplant committees stands out, taking into account that public institutions Health professionals in the entity have a health license to perform kidney and corneal procedures.
