Surrounded by numerous learning experiences, living together remains at the heart of the educational project of this new programming.
The director Alexandra M’Bodj has just established the animation project for the leisure center for the period until August 31, 2024. The structure, described as family, is made up of two distinct poles, the leisure reception without accommodation (ALSH) and the leisure reception associated with the school (Alae), operating alternately according to school periods. In addition to the director, the leisure center employs 7 facilitators with various qualifications, including Bafa, early childhood CAP and first aid training.
The observation
Over the course of meetings, activities, meetings with parents and the town hall, the director discussed several areas of work and made an initial diagnosis: “We noted that certain groups of children remain individualistic. We noted problems of behavior, respect for others and diversity. The adult team sometimes lacks perspective regarding the individual problems encountered. We will therefore continue to work on knowing how to live together by developing the notions of respect and group life At the same time, in correlation with the educational project, we will raise children’s awareness of the world around us by working on knowledge and respect for the environment, a subject at the heart of current debates.”
Goals
Several stages will make it possible to achieve the objectives set for this period, including encouraging involvement in municipal and extra-communal life; develop knowledge of the local natural environment; favor and deepen living together by calming situations of tension that still exist and align the practices of the team and the children; develop a thematic speaking space in relation to the needs identified by setting up a space for listening and experimentation using the forum theater technique. This interactive theatrical method from Brazil encourages reflection around a chosen theme in an atmosphere of kindness and sharing. The director made a final comment: “Throughout the year, a common thread will be put in place, performing arts, in order to energize the sessions and achieve our objectives while promoting the learning of various techniques: sets, screenplay, direction.” On the occasion of the Parents’ Association fair set for Friday July 5, 2024, the leisure center will offer a photo exhibition which will retrace the achievements of the past year.
