That said, the special chip will be named “Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform for Galaxy”. However, because the name was considered too long, Samsung seems to be simplifying the name to “Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy”.
One of the gadget leakers (tipster) Roland Quandt posted a snippet of the latest promotional material on his personal Twitter account (handle @rquandt). The poster with the illustration of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip says “For Galaxy” at the bottom.

Previously, news about the Galaxy S23 series being powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 had been heard for several months. Last November, another tipster “Ice Universe” revealed that Samsung might be equipped with Qualcomm’s special variant Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset.

The Galaxy S23 series allegedly comes with three models, namely the “regular” Galaxy S23, S23 Plus, and S23 Ultra.
