Promising goalkeeper Šilovs rented for “Mogo” / LSPA team – Hockey – Apollo.lv – Sports

At the beginning of October, the Hockey School “Riga” agreed with the National Hockey League (NHL) club Vancouver “Canucks” to hire goalkeeper Artūrs Šilovas.

Taking into account that an emergency situation has been established in the country until December 6, the “Riga” team, whose core type is juvenile hockey players, may not participate in the OHL championship.

For this reason, “Rīga” has agreed with “Mogo” / LSPA on renting a goalkeeper. This decision was made to promote the development of 19-year-old Shilov and to supplement the goalkeeping practice.

Last week, Šilovs was the first number of the Latvian national team in the “Deutschland Cup” and scored an average of 1.93 in two games, dealing with 93.2% litters.

In the OHL championship, he has played only two games this season, in which he averaged 4.34 reels and defeated 92.31%.

Šilovs has represented the Latvian U-18 national team in the last two world championships for young people. Last year, in the highest division, he defeated an average of 91.8% of shots in five fights.

Last year, Shilov was selected by the Canucks as the number 156 in the NHL draft.

“Mogo” / LSPA with 13 points in 11 games is in the third OHL championship, but “Rīga” has accumulated six points in nine matches and ranks in the penultimate, sixth, position.
