Promipyme Grants RD$112 Million in Loans, Benefiting 6,500 People in Dominican Republic

Dominican Republic.-The National Council for the Promotion and Support of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises has granted RD$112 million in loans in San Luis, in the Santo Domingo Este municipality, benefiting a total of 6,500 people throughout the country, with an investment that exceeds 976 million pesos.

In the central event of the event, the director of Promipyme, Fabricio Gómez Mazara, highlighted the delivery of these funds as part of the institution’s commitment to strengthening MSMEs. Gómez Mazara highlighted the implementation of projects focused on infrastructure, technology and communication, essential elements for business development.

“Since our management at PROMIPYME, we have witnessed the positive impact of our work, reflected in the support of more than 6,500 people and the injection of more than 976 million pesos into the national economy. The event had a particular focus on female inclusion, with 541 women leading the receipt of credits in San Luis, which represents 76% of the total beneficiaries on this occasion. The civil governor of the province, Julia Drullard, expressed her gratitude to Promipyme for its continued support to local entrepreneurs, aligning with the guidelines of the President of the Republic and reaffirming the commitment to the progress of MSMEs.

For his part, Pedro Quezada, director of the Community Higher Technological Institute (ITSC), hosted the loan ceremony, highlighting the importance of collaboration to strengthen the business fabric of micro, small and medium-sized businesses.

The event was attended by distinguished provincial authorities and representatives of the business sector, reaffirming institutional support and joint commitment to economic development and innovation in the region.
