Prominent Upper Austrian Corona Measures Opponent Under Psychiatric Examination After Wife’s Death

A prominent representative of the Upper Austrian Corona measures opponent scene, who was stopped by the police on Sunday evening with the body of his wife in the trunk, should now be examined psychiatrically, the Linz regional court said on Tuesday at the APA request.

The man’s statements that his wife died of untreated cancer should be correct. The autopsy showed no evidence of violence, the prosecutor said.

During a traffic stop on Sunday evening in Ansfelden (Linz-Land district), the police found the body of his 38-year-old wife in the trunk of the 39-year-old’s car. The couple’s three children were also in the car at the time. The previous results of the investigation into the death of the woman correspond to the information provided by the opponent of the measure, according to which she had died of natural causes a few hours earlier.

According to forensic medicine, the specified time of death is realistic, according to public prosecutor Ulrike Breiteneder. According to the autopsy, the woman’s body showed no signs of violence. However, the toxicological report is still pending. It is also clear that the 38-year-old was suffering from a serious form of cancer that she did not have treated.

The man, who has already been convicted several times, is now also being investigated for disturbing the peace of the dead. The fact that he is currently in custody has to do with pending criminal proceedings for Holocaust denial (§3h Prohibition Act) – he is said to have compared the corona measures with the persecution of Jews – and with the fact that he went into hiding before the main hearing last August.

The judge in this case has now commissioned a psychiatric report to clarify whether he is sane and what the risk prognosis is.
