The head of the Omani delegation continued: “A very positive thing is also the presence of the Olympic champion Ghada Shuaa with the female athletes and her accompanying them during the competitions, as she is keen to meet them and pass on her experience to them, and this certainly gives them tremendous motivation and moral support to follow her approach in achieving Olympic medals.”

Regarding the Omani representation in the seventh edition of the tournament, she said: “Our participation is the third in a row, and it consists of 4 games that we carefully chose in order to take the podium, and we actually achieved that through Omani fencing, which won two gold medals, two silver medals, and one bronze medal, and in archery we won the silver medal for the teams in The rifle competition, the 10m individual pistol bronze, and also the pistol team bronze. The Olympic champion added: “Through my presence for the fourth time in this event, I noticed wider participation, a steady increase in the number of delegations, the development of the level of female players, and the emergence of talents in one edition after another.
