Prominent RSS leader R Hari passes away in Ernakulam at 93

Ernakulam: Prominent RSS leader R Hari (93) passed away. He died in Kochi due to old-age ailments. He died at Amrita Hospital, Ernakulam around 7.30 in the morning. He played an important role in rooting RSS in Kerala. He was a great orator and writer. He wrote many books in Malayalam, English, Hindi, Marathi, Kongini, Bengali languages.

Arhari was born in 1930 in Ernakulam to Ranga Shenoyi and Padmavati under the constellation of Rohini in Scorpio. He completed his education at St. Albert’s High School, Ernakulam and Maharaja’s College. He joined the Rashtriya Swayam Sevaka Sangh as a child volunteer.
In 1951, he became a Sangh Pracharak, first in North Paravur. Later, he worked as Pracharak of Thrissur District, Palakkad District, Thiruvananthapuram Section Pracharak, Ernakulam Section Pracharak and Kozhikode Section Pracharak. In 1980, he became an associate pracharat. In 1983, he became the Pracharak of the Kerala region and in 1989, he became the Akhil Bharatiya Sah-Baudhik Pramukh.

Retired from his official duties, he lived in the Prant Office (Madhava Niwas) and was living a leisurely life, immersed in his writings.
