Mainz / Berlin (MH) – Actors and presenters are among the prominent laudators at this year’s awarding of the “Opus Klassik”. Julia Koschitz (“Munich 7”) presented the award to the “Singer of the Year” Piotr Beczala, announced the ZDF on Thursday. The broadcaster will produce the gala on Sunday (October 10th) in the Konzerthaus Berlin and will broadcast a recording on the same evening from 10:15 p.m.
Opus classical trophy

Christian Berkel (“Der Kriminalist”) gives the laudation for the “Singer of the Year” Sonya Yoncheva. His colleague Hans-Werner Meyer (“Last Trace Berlin”) presented the trophy to the soprano Fatma Said (Young Artist of the Year). The pianist Daniil Trifonov receives the music prize from the hands of “Frontal” editor-in-chief Ilka Brecht, the clarinetist Martin Fröst from presenter Sabine Heinrich (“The Great Germany Quiz”).
The artists appearing at the award ceremony will be accompanied by the Konzerthausorchester Berlin. The General Music Director of the Stuttgart State Opera, Cornelius Meister, is at the podium.
The Opus Klassik music prize has been awarded since 2018 by record labels, publishers and concert promoters who have come together to form the Association for the Promotion of Classical Music.
