Prolonged Rain and Wind Expected in New York City and Tri-State Area This Sunday Through Monday

Starting at 8:00 pm this Sunday, rain is expected in much of the tri-state area, with heavy downpours in New York City.

Our meteorologist Jesús López, from Univision 41, indicated that the bad weather will start as drizzle, then turn into downpours.

The rains will last until early Monday morning, a complicated climate that will be accompanied by strong gusts of wind, with speeds between 30 and 40 miles per hour.

By 8:45 a.m. on Monday, downpours and even the risk of flooding are expected to continue, especially in areas with poor drainage.

“The rains will continue throughout Monday, ceasing by 5:30 in the afternoon,” said the meteorologist.
