She made an appointment in mid-April. Last Friday, the Executive Committee of the French Football Federation (FFF) met to rule on the fate of amateur championships, currently on hold, like the professional championships managed by the Professional Football League (LFP), due of the Covid-19 pandemic. And while a strong decision on the part of the authority was awaited in the four corners of France, the latter finally opted for a postponement … of its decision, depending on the evolution of the health situation as well than federal measures. Among other things: waiting to know whether or not containment, initially introduced until April 15 by the government, would be extended.
And while this deadline is fast approaching, the Elysée announced this Wednesday, April 8, that the confinement of the French “will be extended” beyond April 15. Enough to push this time the Federation to make a decision on the future of amateur football, just waiting for a word or a gesture from the French body. To see now if the organization led by Noël Le Graët will follow in the footsteps of the other federations, which have each chosen for several weeks now to put an end to their championships, or once again postpone their decision.
