The season premiere at Boisramé will have to wait. Pontault-Combault, who was to receive Angers this Friday for the second day of Proligue, requested the postponement of the meeting, according to a press release from the visiting club published Thursday evening. The SCO thus affirms that the PCHB, “On the basis of article 2214-2 of the sporting regulations and in order to enforce the health rules in force”, obtained from the National Handball League that this match be played at a later date. Article 2214-2, which relates to the postponement of meetings, was precisely amended for this season because of the health context: the Covid committee set up by the NHL considered that it existed “A risk of transmission of the virus to the opposing team” for this meeting, according to the statutes of the League. Indeed, the Ile-de-France club confirmed later in the evening to have several cases of Covid-19 in its professional workforce. Angers has therefore given up on this trip and will now have to focus on receiving Saran. On the side of Pontault-Combault, pending the recovery of sick players, invincibility is preserved since the Pontellois had won their first match last weekend in Dijon (25-26). This meeting is the first of the Proligue season to be canceled due to the health situation.
