TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Men’s volleyball team Jakarta Lavani Allo Bank managed to beat Jakarta STIN BIN with a score of 3-0 (25-23, 25-22, 25-16) in the match PLN Mobile Proliga 2023 the second series of the second round at the Ken Arok Sports Hall, Malang City, East Java, Friday.
Both teams have already qualified for the final four. This victory led Lavani to the top of the standings, with a score of 29 from 11 matches. They are two points ahead of STIN BIN, who have played 12 times. Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi (26) who is in third place has also passed.
Jakarta Lavani’s assistant coach, Samsul Jais, said that the victory was important for his team, in order to increase the confidence of his team in preparation for entering the last four.
“This is an important victory for Lavani. To increase the confidence of the players when they enter the last four,” said Samsul.
Samsul explained, STIN BIN was not an easy team to beat. However, by chasing each other to earn points in the match, it determines the mentality of individuals and all players to perform more optimally.
According to him, the team that plays better will be able to win the match witnessed by the coach who is also the 6th President of Indonesia, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono. Both teams presented a modern volleyball game.
“Who plays better, or loses. This means that this team can get out of pressure faster and win matches,” he said.
He added that it was suspected that Lavani’s opportunity to increase the 3-0 victory was due to the STIN BIN coach’s mistake when making a substitution. This point is a crucial time to win the match.
“Incidentally tonight, maybe the STIN BIN coach’s mistake was the wrong player to change. And this is important, the points for us are from serve,” he said.
Meanwhile, Jakarta STIN BIN coach Alessandro Ferreira Fadul said that the change by replacing a number of players in the match was aimed at giving a number of core players a break.
According to him, a number of these players need to be rested to face the upcoming round of the top four. In addition, in that match many reserve players were sent down to provide opportunities to play.
“But today’s goal is to rest some tired players. We are preparing for the last four. So the reserve players are deployed,” he said.
