Prokopiev in total isolation from business and power –

/ world today news/ Businesses and ministers declare that they will not attend the ninth annual meeting of entrepreneurs and the government, organized by Ivo Prokopiev. This year’s “Capital” event will be held for the first time without the support of the Confederation of Employers and Industrialists in Bulgaria.

“KRIB does not consider this event to be its own, and even the previous Board of Directors with chairman Ognyan Donev decided not to participate in it. This is a private event from which “Capital” profits.” This is how Kiril Domuschiev, chairman of the employers’ organization, commented on the withdrawal from the forum.

The Prime Minister and his ministers can go to any private party they see fit. The point is that it’s not just the money for participation – in this case BGN 704. per person, but also the sponsorship that KRIB members have to pay. For example, “Sopharma” gave BGN 20,000, “Huvepharma” also gave. These are funds that go into the coffers of the organizer Economedia.

Vasil Velev, chairman of the Association of Industrial Capital, commented to “Press” that AIKB will not be a co-organizer and he personally will not attend the meeting because he did not consider it necessary.

Dissatisfaction was also seen among the rulers. As the organizers rolled out a program that included much of the cabinet, some ministers took offense.

“I had not received an invitation until today (yesterday – b.r.) and I was offended. I don’t think I’m going to this meeting. I will discuss it with the prime minister,” commented Economy Minister Bozhidar Lukarski to “Press”.

Deputy Prime Minister Meglena Kuneva is also not sure whether she will honor Prokopiev’s event, claiming that she is still thinking about the matter. “It is more important to be able to remove the barriers to business,” she explained to Radio K2.
