About 30 projectiles were found in the Black Sea, near the Turkish city of Şile, Istanbul district, CNN-Turk reported, quoted by BTA.
The signal about the presence of the ammunition in the sea water near the Sofular municipal beach was submitted to the gendarmerie by a beachgoer on July 28. The beach has been evacuated.

The Istanbul Navy announced today that divers working for the Turkish Navy’s High Command have so far retrieved eight unexploded ordnance from the sea. They were handed over to sappers, the Anatolian Agency says.
The discovered ammunition was about ten meters from the beach, at a depth of 1-1.5 meters.
The operation to search for and remove the remaining ammunition continues, the agency adds.
A controlled detonation of the remaining artillery shells is expected to take place on August 2.
