Project xCloud will be part of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate – Gaming – News from September

I wonder, because you have to assume that with a normal console there is already latency (wireless controller, LCD screen etc). That also comes to 100ms nowadays. This comes on top of it and then it just becomes noticeable. Set your LCD to non-game mode. That is about the latency that you get extra (+/- 50ms). Then it just becomes a big problem in terms of latency and then you can have a server park around the corner, which still comes on top of the standard latency that you have of the controller and screen etc.

It was a great time when we still played on the SNES on a CRT. Almost no latency, platformers play fantastic on that. (I think you’re under 50ms latency there)

Nice article about latency for consoles (not streaming):

For example, Mortal Kombat X exhibits an average controller latency around 107ms, which explains why the game feels a bit more “weighty” than a game like Killer Instinct, even though both games run at the same 60 frames per second.

At 107ms you already notice that the game actually has too much latency. Stadia has around 150 to 200ms latency in the most optimal settings.
