This afternoon, the Tour de Hongrie will finish at the Zoo, but there are also many other cycling programs waiting for the people of Pécs in the city. Here is today’s program and all important information in one place.
As we previously reported in detail, after 2023, Pécs has been included in the internationally highly rated Tour de Hongrie route this year as well. Thanks to last year’s successful arrangement, the county seat of Baranya was also considered as a runner-up city this year.
Even amateurs can test themselves
This time, Pécsi Sport Nonprofit Zrt. organized a full weekend cycling program, which already filled the city with bicycles on Saturday. On Sunday, one of the most anticipated events of the Bike Weekend is II. It will be the Zsolnay Cup. The amateur and semi-professional bikers will start from Kossuth Square at 1 p.m., and then follow the same route as the Tour field to the finish at the Zoo.

Great atmosphere
A lot of bustle is expected in the city center. Before the arrival of the professionals, the music of the PTE Brass Band will ensure a good atmosphere from 1:00 p.m., but at 1:20 p.m. the PTE Cheerleaders will also give a presentation on Széchenyi Square.

The field arrives in the afternoon
The Tour de Hongrie field is expected to reach Pécs from Magyarürögi út around three o’clock. It will pass through Széchenyi tér, touching Szigeti út, Hungária út, Rákóczi út, and will head towards the infamous Bárány út. The field completes three laps on this route, and then crosses the finish line set up in front of the Zoo at 4:30 p.m.
