The Art Room of the Coliseum of Culture has hosted the presentation of the XIV edition of the ASISA Festival of Villaviciosa de Odón, one of the most important events of this type that is held every year in the Community of Madrid and that this year will take place from July 8 to 17 with a total of 10 concerts. The Villaviciosa de Odón City Council organizes this musical event with the sponsorship of ASISA, as well as various patrons and collaborators who make the Festival a must-see each July without having failed in any of the previous years. The presentation was attended by the mayor, Raúl Martín Galán, accompanied by Dr. Enrique de Porres, CEO of ASISA; by Miguel Lucero, Councilor for Culture. and Mario Prisuelos, artistic director of the festival. Raúl Martín Galán highlighted the relevance of this festival by becoming “one of the main ambassadors of Villaviciosa de Odón at all levels, especially with regard to tourism and cultural promotion. For his part, Dr. Enrique de Porres, CEO of ASISA, highlighted in his speech that “The support for this festival since its inception is part of ASISA’s firm commitment to promoting art and culture as essential elements for build a healthier society. The cultural life of people makes the soul, as the poets say, better and music, especially, has therapeutic power ”. Days before the inauguration, and as an aperitif to the series of scheduled concerts, the streets of Villaviciosa de Odón will be filled with the sounds of the best music in New Orleans from the Madrid Hot Street Band. It will be on Saturday July 3. The festival will open in style on Thursday July 8 with the ADDA Simfònica Orchestra of Alicante which, under the baton of Josep Vicent, will perform El Amor Brujo de Falla, with the cantaora Marina Heredia, and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7.
