Profits were taken on the global stock markets today, and the Prague Stock Exchange also moved in negative territory for the entire session due to the deteriorating sentiment. In the end, the PX index wrote off -0.60% to 1,380 points, but for the whole week, despite today’s loss, it gained almost 2%. The driver of the decline was Erste Bank, which fell by -3.14% to CZK 846. Komerční banka then decreased by -1.46% to 740 CZK and insurance company Vig fell by -0.83%. From smaller issues, Philip Morris wrote off -1.05% and Kofola lost -1.19% to CZK 250. The PX index protected the increase of Čez shares from a larger decline, which rose by 2.41% to a daily maximum of CZK 978, with the largest daily volume of CZK 506 million.
