Profile of Shinta Ratri, the founder of the Jogja Waria Islamic Boarding School, who died today

Founder and leader Islamic Boarding School (Ponpes) Waria Al Fatah Yogya, Shinta Ratri, passed away today. Shinta died of heart disease.

Reported detikJateng, Wednesday (1/2/2023), Shinta died at Dr Sardjito General Hospital. Shinta’s body is planned to be buried at the Semoyan Cemetery, Banguntapan, Pillow, at 14.00 WIB this afternoon.

Profile of Shinta Ratri:

Shinta Ratri was born with the name Tri Santoso Nugroho in Yogya City. He grew up in a family of handicraft traders in Kotagede, Yogya.

During high school, Shinta Ratri was already an entrepreneur. He has the principle of living life not just pleasing other people.

Shinta Ratri received her education until she graduated as a bachelor of biology from Gadjah Mada University (UGM). However, he chose to be active as a silver craftsman.

Shinta is known for being active in defending trans women to get their right to worship. Therefore, he founded the Al-Fatah Yogya Waria Islamic Boarding School.
