KOMPAS.com – Indonesian rock climbing athlete, Kiromal Katibinhas just established himself as the fastest man in the world.
Kiromal Katibin managed to climb a 15-meter high wall with a record time of 5.17 seconds at the IFSC 2022 Climbing World Cup event in Seoul, South Korea, Friday (6/5/2022).
That record can’t be matched by anyone in the world since this article was published.
He improved the previous fastest time which was also held by Indonesian athlete, Leonardo Veddriq.

The record time of Leonardo Veddriq is 5.208 seconds which was achieved in Utah, United States.
Awal karier Kiromal Katibin
Kiromal Katibin is an athlete from Batang, Central Java.
He studied rock climbing since he was young, which was seven years old.
“The first time I got to know rock climbing was in 2007,” said Kiki, her nickname, quoted from the official website FPTI.
“The first time I saw rock climbing in Batang square was when there was Praporprov (provincial sports pre-week),” he said.

“Finally started the 2009 practice. My friends and I (and my brother) joined the training. Two people passed, my brother and I,” he said.
