TRIBUNNEWS.COM – President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) openly offended this Acting Governor of South Sulawesi, Andi Sudirman Sulaiman, when inaugurating Pool Regulation Nipa-nipa in Maros on Thursday (18/3/2021).
On that occasion, Jokowi revealed that Andi asked the central government for a lot of development.
“Earlier, the Governor was still asking for a lot of things that were lacking in South Sulawesi,” said Jokowi, as reported Tribunnews.
“Even though this morning we just inaugurated the Tana Toraja airport, which has nearly 1 trillion.”
“There are also several reservoirs in South Sulawesi which we may also inaugurate this year,” he added.

It is known, previously Andi had asked the government to build a number of projects in his area.
Among them are the Mamminasata Outer Ring Road, irrigation rehabilitation, inspection roads on Lakkang Island, to the Sea Cable project, as well as opening road access for isolated areas in South Sulawesi.
“We hope that there is a planning for the Mamminasata Outer Ring Road in Makassar, our hope is that the trucks that will send to all of Sulawesi will not go through the city route, but through the outward Coastal route or via the Mamminasata Outer Ringroad, Makassar New Port,” Andi explained.
“We propose that when the city is ready, our Provinces are ready, then the center, to build a river inspection road so that they can have direct access to the island, so that they will not be isolated in the middle of Makassar city. They are surrounded by rivers and this is our hope,” he added.
