Professors from the Craiova Faculty of Medicine, prosecuted for bribery

Five professors from the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Midwives and Social Work in Craiova were prosecuted by the prosecutors of the General Prosecutor’s Office, under the accusation that they demanded bribes from students to help them pass the exams.

According to a communiqué of the General Prosecutor’s Office, these are Lucica Rosu, Cristina Petrica, Danut Firu and Daniela Denisa Cernea, accused of taking bribes and Bogdan Cotoi, investigated for complicity in taking bribes and using, in any way, directly or indirectly, of information that is not intended for advertising or allowing unauthorized persons access to this information.

In the case of the five teachers, the prosecutors ordered the measure of judicial control, during the whole measure being forbidden to exercise the profession of teacher.

In the same case, Raluca Eugenia Iovan (secretary) is being investigated for traffic the influence and use, in any way, directly or indirectly, of information that is not intended for publicity or allowing the access of unauthorized persons to this information.
