The animator, director and teacher of Tec Guadalajara, Mayrení Senior Seda, together with Hobby Creative Studio participated in the making of the animated music video “RadiateFrom the alternative rock band GloryBots.
The video for this song uses the techniques of 3d animation Y stop motion (with plasticine or latex characters that perform small movements to give the illusion of movement).
Mayrení Senior was an art director and animator stop motion together with Sam Méndez, director of Hobby Creative Studio and Carlos Cruz. This is the second time that the studio has worked with the group GloryBots.
In the first time, they worked on the video for the song “Afterlife”. They did it 3 years ago and in this regard Mayrení commented that it was very enriching see the differences and growth of each of the proposals.

Innovative technology
The video required experimentation and learning of new techniques by the entire team, including rear projection and use of the software “Unreal Engine”.
The animator explained that all the backgrounds were projected on a wall and photographed on the set (scenography), to better integrate light between digital backgrounds and characters from stop motion.

Senior has participated in various film, advertising and music video productions, including “Olas del Cielo”, “Viva el Rey” and “Inzomnia”, the first feature film stop motion from Mexico.
