Professional League Holds Club Licensing Workshop to Prepare for 2024-2025 Season

Dubai, September 20 / WAM / Today, the Professional League held a club licensing workshop in preparation for the launch of the 2024-2025 licensing cycle, at the Rixos Premium GBR Hotel in Dubai.
The workshop, which was witnessed by Doujin Sa, Head of Professionalism in Football at the AFC, opened with a welcome speech by Musaab Al Marzouqi, Director of the Institutional Support Department, in which he praised the efforts of professional clubs in following the regulations and contributing to the development of the licensing system during the past sessions, so that licensing standards in the Emirates have become among the best in the world. Al-Marzouqi appreciated the support of the Board of Directors of the Professional League, as it leads the process of developing and modernizing the football system, and benefiting from the gains of professionalism, in accordance with the association’s strategic plan 2020-2030.
The workshop activities continued with a presentation by Avi Gupta, Head of the Club Licensing Department at the AFC, during which he explained the most prominent updates in the competition system for the Asian Championships.
Abdullah Mubarak, Acting Director of the Club Licensing Department in the Association, reviewed the development projects related to the Association’s licenses. He also discussed the most prominent challenges that the clubs faced during the previous licensing period and ways to overcome them in the new session. He highlighted the marketing and promotion standard, which aims to develop and improve the commercial side of the clubs. The professional.
Jaber Dababneh, the association’s financial audit expert, reviewed the most prominent amendments made to the financial standard in the 2024-2025 session, as the financial standard is one of the most important reasons for the financial sustainability of professional clubs.
